Hi there
Goodday y’all
I miss the day I actually took these pictures; it is freaking cold nowadays hey. I know I always say Winter is my favourite season but boy, I do not think I anticipated it to be this cold early on in the season.
This past weekend was supposed to be my shooting weekend for new looks and I could not do it. It was raining and freaking cold that I woke up, took a shower, had TEA yes tea; those that know me will tell you I am not a hot beverage kind of a person. I only have tea if it one of those days that your insides just cry for some warmth. As for coffee, I can have half a cup in 5 years and it will suffice. Anyway I was still telling you about my weekend, I basically stayed in bed after my trip to the mall and only got up to eat and take a shower. It was a nightmare in the daylight lol. Anyway, how are you all doing?
This look is me reminiscing of the warmer days when everything was just light and airy. I paired this skirt from NewLook via Asos with a tribal print T-Shirt and leather Jacket I should consider giving a break this year lol. The skirt has some metallic sheen to it and it can be worn inside out too. On the inside it is more matte and on the outside it is shiny. I got it as I wanted a similar piece from Topshop in blackish-green (I know there is no such colour, this is just how best I can describe it); when I could not find the skirt in my local Topshop I started hunting for a similar piece and this NewLook one caught my eye. It was at the perfect price point too (on sale for 24 pounds or so). To complete it I wore black heels from Aldo with a Guess handbag I got 3 years ago or so but never used it until this year. I still love it though. It may be dated but I feel it stills goes well with my clothes. I am not much of a trendy person hence I do not mind things that are a little rustic and old, as long as they look nice and are fit for purpose. These Aldo heels are the most comfortable shoes that you can run a 10km marathon in, not exaggerating I swear.
I hope you liked the simple look. I believe it can take you from office to a funeral with ease J. Thanks for stopping by as always, have a wonderful week . See you soon with some Winter inspired looks.

Hello loves! Mother’s Day is just around the corner and what better time than now to put together a gift guide. Today’s post is on a few gift ideas that can hopefully inspire you to get a mother in your life (sisters, parents, aunts, granny etc) something special. I have attached links to the items in case you like the items I picked.
This post would not be complete without a dedication to my queen...
My mother...
A very special person in my life, she is second to none!
Everyday I try to remember and appreciate the fact that my mom is my friend. It is easy to prioritise other things or even forget to say a little prayer to thank God for having blessed me with the opportunity of having a mother like my own. I attribute my position, the woman I have become, the strength I have today to her. The relations I have with all in my life, i.e. friends, partner, colleagues and siblings; is through the values and seeing how respect and all others she taught has made me a people’s person. My relations flourish through my relationship with her. Today I understand the sacrifices and the endless nights she stayed up taking care of me and my siblings; the days, the nights she prayed for our well being. It is not easy being a mother. Not just a mother by giving birth to a child but by deeds.
With this said I would like to wish all the mothers out there a happy and blessed mother’s day. You are special and let no one say otherwise. You have been chosen to be a mother because only you can..
We are in the last month of Autumn and the weather is definitely on gear 2 readying for Winter. I always try to stick to colourful and bold patterns throughout the year generally; even when the day is gloomy and dreary, I choose to brighten up my days with the clothes on my back.
Blue and brown; worn individually or as a combo have always been my favourite colours. Although lately pink and red have been making a serious statement in my wardrobe; I cannot say that they have landed there by mistake. I mean pink and red as a combination has been trending for Spring/Summer ‘16 and it is still making the rounds even in 2017. So who am I not to jump on to the bandwagon, I have to transition with the times for me to be relatable.
For this particular look, I combined all of my favourite colours together; there is something pink, blue, red and of course brown. The look was actually inspired by the print on the scarf. I took the colours and played them into the outfit without it looking like a hot mess. I wore a basic white T paired with a flowy skirt for an effortless and relaxed outfit. Because it has been chilly, I added this Refinery 29 unstructured longer length blazer in Khaki brown. It has been one of my favourite blazers, I mean I have worn it at least 5 times since I bought it sometime last year. The rest of the accessories with the scarf, are the pink shoes that I also bought in black; and a red David Jones sling/clutch bag.
I hope you like the look, thanks for stopping by as always. Do follow me on social media, I have added the buttons to my social accounts on the right hand side of the page. Cheers for now....

Goodday y’all
Today’s post is a look that my younger brother loved photographing, I mean he took more than a 100 shots. Some of the best pictures I will be saving for a personal collage of the work we have been doing on this blog. To be quite honest, I loved this dress the first time I put it on and even to date it has been one of my favourites. I also bought it in a summery print that I will feature later on in the year. I accessorised it with simple shoes and clutch in colours that complement the dress as they are part of the gorgeous print. I hope you like the look as always.
Life Update
This week I have not been feeling my greatest. Actually for the past couple of weeks, with the change in weather I have been feeling a bit sick. The pressures of life and work and everything that comes with it have been much to dampen my spirits. I remember the last time I felt like this was when I ended up in hospital for an operation years ago. I hope it never gets to that, actually in God’s name I am healed. I am not one to share much about my personal life but I deemed it fitting to share just what is going on in my life. This would explain my hiatus on social media.
I am sorry that I am not able to give my 100% on this blog now but I believe things will get better. Just keep me in your prayers and I will be well. Thanks for stopping by as always.

Dress: Fashion World (Last Year)
Clutch: Colette Hayman
Bangles: Mr Price
Shoes: Jet Store
1. Tweed Jacket
I often get questions on how I put together my outfits and where I buy my clothes. Then the questions will be followed with statements like; when they get to the store they get lost and do not see any cute items or they get overwhelmed when walking into the store. I thought I should a start a series where I will show what I would buy for an office wear capsule wardrobe from A particular store. In this way, I will be catering for different price points because as-is, people’s budgets are different. I am doing this as I am assuming that almost everyone who follows my blog has similar style or like some items I wear.
6. Bowler Bag
In this series, I will feature at least 3 bottoms, 3 top items, 3 accessories and one or 2 bonus pieces of clothing I would buy and wear.
To kick off this series, I will start with Mr. Price. This store is mainly available in Africa but they have been expanding in Eurasia and American countries. I like that their clothing pieces are affordable and the quality of their office wear range is not that bad. Obviously in most items you get what you pay for in any store, so this is not just a Mr. Price problem but all brands have items that are cheaper than others and the quality would also vary.
8. Denim Shirt
9. Polo Shirt
Bottoms
For my bottoms, I often go for dark and solid colours, but every now and again I do venture into patterned and colourful pieces. So in this post, I picked clothing pieces that will have a combination of the latter. The first piece I picked is a gingham skirt; I mean need I say more. Gingham is currently on trend and everyone and their momma have something in the gingham print. Then my second skirt is also a trend that has been around for about a year or so, i.e. lace/netted clothing. Then the last is a classic pair of pants. Personally I am not much of a pant wearer but when I do, I want it to be nicely tailored and form fitting.
Top
For tops, I went for 4 tops that every woman should own, be it for work on casual and relaxed looks. These will work well with the bottoms I picked to create at least 15 looks minimum. Something extra I picked is a tweed blazer that will pair, complete and complement the other clothing pieces.
Accessories
I picked a bowler bag which can double as a laptop bag. Even though it may not be made for it, it is steady enough to use every other day. Then I picked a handbag because every woman needs one. Last 2 accessory items, is a neckpiece and earrings because sometimes one needs to amp a simple outfit to take it to the next level. I have linked these items and you can see for yourself how affordable they are.
10. Earrings
I hope you like what I have picked and have inspired you a bit.
Thanks for stopping by as always.
